If there's ever a time you are lucky enough to not have to check all your emails, perhaps over a family vacation, your iPhone and iPad gives you an easy way to temporarily disable them without actually having to remove them completely. This makes for a great way to selectively choose what emails you want to receive without having to tweak all of your notification settings.
This is how.
- Launch the Settings app from the Home screen of your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
- Tap on the name of the account you'd like to temporarily disable.
- Tick the Mail option to the Off position.

That's it. The mailbox you just disabled will no longer show up in your Inbox but it's still set up on your iPhone or iPad and ready to be re-enabled whenever you'd like.
